Who is Mrs. McIntosh?
My name is Jodi McIntosh and this is my 5th year at Lone Oak Elementary School. My heart is and always will be at LOES! As a child, I longed to teach when I "grew up" and now I am living the dream I have had for so many years. I love to teach my students and learn along with them.
I am 35 years-old and have lived in Lone Oak for the majority of my life. I attended Lone Oak Elementary School as a child and remained at Lone Oak until graduating in 1999. I am married to Jason McIntosh, who from the Lone Oak area. We began dating the summer before my senior in high school and have been together ever since!! We both attended Murray State University and that is the only time that either of us lived outside this great community.
Jason and I were married on August 2, 2003. We loved having a family of two, however we welcomed into our family a precious son, Connor, on December 9, 2004. Our lives have been forever changed...in a fabulous way! Two days after Connor's 3rd birthday, we welcomed another sweet angel into our lives, Brooklynn. She was born on December 11, 2007. December is one CRAZY month for the McIntosh family! Our "baby" of the family is Chase. He was born on February 18, 2012. Our family of five is so much more enjoyable and exciting--those kiddos keep us extremely busy!!
I stayed home and raised my "babies" until Connor was 4 1/2 years-old and Brooklynn was 18 months old. Although it was a tough adjustment, it was a great opportunity for our family! I began teaching 3rd grade at that point and have LOVED the chance to be wife, mommy and teacher...all at the same time! My first three years were wonderful and I couldn't have asked for better groups of students!! During my third year as a 3rd grade teacher, I became mommy to three children and realized I needed a short break from teaching. As I put LOES aside for a bit, I always knew I wanted to come back and continue my career as a teacher at the very best school. This is my second year back at LOES and am loving my time in Kindergarten! I am blessed beyond belief!
